Saucony Wear Test Night: New Shoes, Pizza Slices, and Slightly Sweaty High-Fives

Monday, September 8 | Run at 6:45 PM | Pizza after

It’s happening. It’s real. It’s glorious.

For the first time since 2019, we’re teaming up with Saucony for a Wear Test Run at The Running Place—and honestly? We’re getting a little misty-eyed just thinking about it.

We’re talking free shoes to try, a Monday night group run, free pizza and drinks, and the kind of good vibes that only come from mixing endorphins and mozzarella in rapid succession.

So, what’s the deal? Keep reading, friend. (Or skip to the part where we say pizza. We get it.)

A Quick Reminder On What A Wear Test Run Is…

You know how trying to buy new running shoes online can be a gamble? What if they’re too squishy? What if they feel like bricks? What if your dog ends up using them as a bed?

Well, forget all that. At this Saucony wear test night, you get to try on the latest Saucony models and actually run in them before you commit. No guessing. No “return shipping.” Just you, the shoes, and a couple sweaty miles with your running crew.

Try These Saucony Beauties On for Size

Saucony is rolling out the red carpet and bringing run of their newest models for you to test:

  • Ride 18 – The classic neutral trainer with buttery-smooth transitions.
  • Guide 18 – A little support, a lot of comfort. Perfect if you like a gentle nudge in the right direction instead of a shout.
  • Triumph 23 – Max cushion, zero drama. This one’s for the long haulers and comfort seekers.
  • Hurricane 25 – Saucony’s max-cushion stability workhorse. Picture plush clouds wrapped in a safety harness.
  • Endorphin Speed 5 – Fast, fun, and possibly a little flirty. The perfect shoe for when you’re feeling spicy on a Monday night.

Come early to get fitted, because once the run kicks off at 6:45 PM, it’s time to roll.

The (Loose and Casual) Schedule

  • 6:15 PM – Show up early, find your perfect shoe, and maybe make a friend.
  • 6:45 PM – Head out on our usual Monday Night Group Run. Choose your pace. Choose your distance. Choose not to trip over a curb.
  • After the run – Hang out, eat pizza, drink beverages, and maybe talk about how amazing your feet felt for the last 30 minutes.

Did Someone Say Free Pizza?

Yes. Us. We did.

Because it’s not just a Saucony wear test — it’s also the first Monday (run) of the month, which means free pizza night at The Running Place.

That’s right. The shoes are free to try, the pizza is free to eat, and the friendships are free to blossom under the glow of overhead flourescent lights. (Poetic, no?)

Why You Need to Be There

Aside from the whole “free shoes and pizza” thing, here’s why this event is a must-do:

  • You get to test run brand-new Saucony models on your actual feet, on a real run, in your natural sweaty habitat.
  • You’ll meet other local runners, walkers, pizza enthusiasts, and weirdos like us who just love a good Monday night vibe.
  • No pressure to buy. Just try the shoes, enjoy the food, and maybe win a little extra love from your running muscles.
  • Mr. Ken will probably be there, and let’s be honest, that alone is worth the trip.

No RSVP, no registration, no nonsense.
Just show up ready to run and we’ll handle the rest.
