DESCRIPTION:The Broomall Rotary has been performing community service work since 1961. The race proceeds fund the Broomall Rotary’s local charitable service projects. \nThe Broomall Rotary’s Firecracker 5K will precede the Marple Newtown 4th of July Parade. The parade and race day is Thursday\, July 4\, 2024*. Race may be switched to a Virtual Race at the club’s sole discretion for any reason \nCourse: The 5K race course is along the parade route in front of the parade spectators. Starts on West Chester Pike at Malin Road\, proceeds west along West Chester Pike past Bryn Mawr Avenue in Newtown Sq.\, U-turn back to the starting point. Water at 1 mile & 2 miles. \n\nChip Timing\nCold towels on course\nPlenty of toilets\nGreat prizes\n\nRegistration Options: \n\nAdult ($25; $30 after June 21)\nFamily (5 runner max) ($55; $70 after June 21)\nYouth (17&Under;) ($20; $25 after June 21)\n\nT-Shirts: For all Early-Bird registrants (before June 21); 3 max for family registrations; while supply lasts for all others. \nOur cause: The Broomall Rotary has been performing community and international service work since 1961. Please click on our location map for a parking map with updated parking locations\, which include the streets near Malin and RT3 intersection\, the St. Luke Greek Church on Malin Road\, or the Delaware County Intermediate Unit on Malin Road. Also\, the Registration Table will be located at the race tent at Broomall Fire Company driveway apron near the intersection of Malin Rd and RT 3 (West Chester Pike).
