DESCRIPTION:Join us for the tenth annual trail romp and hike around the beautiful hills and dales of one of PA’s oldest Summer Camps! \nCourse:  The course ranges from dirt trails\, gravel roads\, and a few short paved sections over rolling terrain above the beautiful French Creek in scenic Chester County. The course traverses a variety of gorgeous landscapes and is pretty awesome\, just saying. All proceeds benefit the summer camping programs and scholarship funds. Back by popular demand\, a delightful pancake and bacon breakfast in our dining hall! Walkers will receive race T-Shirts and goodies\, but will not be timed or scored. DESCRIPTION:The Hope For Hallie Color Run/Walk will feature an opportunity to participate in 3 separate races. A 1 mile run/walk\, 100 meter dash\, and a relay race. Registration will cover entry to all 3 events. Registrants are welcome to participate in any or all races by running\, walking or jogging. \nRegistration: $30  – Children 5 years & under are free with a paid participant\nCheck-in and material pick up begins at 11 a.m. / Races begin at 12:30 p.m. Participants who pre-register will receive a Color Run t-shirt\, sunglasses and color packet for the final group color throw. Please be sure to allow yourself enough time to check in and gather materials before the races begin. \nParticipants wear white at the starting line and finish the race plastered in color. During all three events\, participants will be doused with different colored powder at multiple color stations. Once the race is over\, the fun continues with music\, photo ops\, food trucks\, and a final massive color throw.  \nParking: CADES school parking lot and on street parking (enter from Rutgers Ave.)  \nRain Date: Saturday\, May 17th\, 2025 \nProceeds from this event support mental health awareness & provide scholarships for therapy services. \n*NO PETS ALLOWED

SUMMARY:MIGHTY MOJO MEMORIAL RUN
DESCRIPTION:Description\n\n\nJoin us for the 4th Annual Mighty MoJo Memorial Run\, in honor of our Molly Joan who fought fiercely for 44 days against Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) at CHOP before passing away in September 2021.  Our hope is to increase awareness of CDH\, a condition as common as cystic fibrosis and spina bifida\, and raise much needed funding to help make CDH a more manageable diagnosis for the future MoJos of the world.   We’ve raised over $80\,000 the last three years\, and cannot wait for another successful event.\nWe are excited to offer sponsors and other supporters a fun-filled morning at beautiful Ridley Creek State Park.  All net proceeds will go to CHOP’s CDH Research Fund\, which is continuously coming up with innovative ways to help CDH babies have a better outcome and quality of life. \n\n4.4 Mile Run and 1 Mile Walk\nTry out this one-of-a-kind distance in honor of MoJo’s days lived at this scenic local gem.  Our 4.4 mile run will take place on Saturday\, April 12\, 2025 at 10 am. The start and finish line will be on the service road along the paved multi-use trail right near Site 11 at Ridley Creek State Park and will follow one full loop along the trail. The race will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Race Company.\nWe’ve also planned a 1 Mile Walk for those who prefer to go a shorter distance! The 1 Mile Walk will begin at approximately 10:05 am\, and will go in the opposite direction of the runners\, with an out and back course.  Walkers are welcome to go further on the trail\, but note that the after-race festivities and refreshments may not be available when you return.\nThis event is held RAIN OR SHINE.  Remember\, there is no such thing as bad weather\, only inappropriate clothing.  Plan accordingly 🙂 \n\nPricing\n4.4 mile run – $25.44 early bird (Through 1/31/25); $30.44 (2/1/25 – 3/12/25)\, $35.44 (3/13/25 – 4/11/25)\, $40 day of race (4/12/25).\n1 mile run/walk; $15 early bird (Through 1/31/25); $20 (2/1 – 4/11/25); $25 day of race (4/12/25)\n** Teams – $5 discount for all members when signing up as a team!  This is available to runners AND walkers!\nPacket Pickup Options \n*Wednesday\, April 9 – 6 to 8 pm at Burke’s Inn in Havertown\n*Saturday\, April 12 – 8:30 am till run/walk start time

SUMMARY:A Midsummer Night 5k Series
DESCRIPTION:The 15th Annual Midsummer 5k Race Series. \nThe 5k race will take place in the quiet and safe neighborhood surrounding South Ardmore Park\, Wynnewood Pa on the second Thursday evening of each Summer month. The course will consist of 3 circuits on a slightly rolling course called the “Ardmore Loop.” Awards will be provided for in each race for overall runners and age groups winners by the Bryn Mawr Running/Racing Company and Brooks. There will also be scoring for those who complete all three races. Runners will accumulate points in overall male/female categories along with their age group categories. Awards for the 3 combined races will be provided by one of our sponsors. \nThe event will be again be chip timed using the MYLAPS Run BibTag System by the Bryn Mawr Racing Co.  Brooks Podium Technical Midsummer Series T-shirts will be distributed at the JULY race or during race packet pickup the night before. \nAfter each race there will be an after party at Hykels Bar and Grill. Bring in your race bib for one complimentary beverage on us! \nPlease bring the whole family! A very popular kids race in South Ardmore Park will precede the 5K! \nRace proceeds will benefit Children’s and Shriner’s Hospitals of Philadelphia\, Lower Merion Parks and Recreation and the Bryn Mawr Running Club will also be beneficiaries. Since 2010\, we have raised over $65\,000 for these charities!! \nPlease be aware that summer evening races are at the mercy of pop up thunderstorms. SUMMARY:Swarthmore Lions Independence Eve 8K
DESCRIPTION:Get a jump on your Independence Day celebration and join us for the annual Swarthmore Lions Independence Eve 8K (5 mile) and 2 ½ Mile Walk. The race will be held on Wednesday\, July 3 at 7:00pm. This friendly\, small town community race draws runners from all over the Delaware Valley. The relatively flat 8K route goes through the charming\, tree-lined neighborhoods of Swarthmore. The 2 ½ Mile Walk route follows the first loop of the 8K. \nProceeds from the race support Lions charities which include organizations that assist the visually impaired such as the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Chester and the Delaware Valley Eye Bank. \nOn site registration and packet pick-up will take place in the Borough Hall lobby at 121 Park Avenue in Swarthmore from 5:00pm to 6:45pm on the day of the race. \nThe entry fee for both the race and the walk is $30 and $35 on race day. \nAwards will be presented to the first three overall male and female runners and to the first three male and female runners in 9 age groups-10 and under\, 11-13\, 14-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, and 70 and over. Refreshments will be served after the race. SUMMARY:A Midsummer Night 5k Series
DESCRIPTION:The 15th Annual Midsummer 5k Race Series. \nThe 5k race will take place in the quiet and safe neighborhood surrounding South Ardmore Park\, Wynnewood Pa on the second Thursday evening of each Summer month. The course will consist of 3 circuits on a slightly rolling course called the “Ardmore Loop.” Awards will be provided for in each race for overall runners and age groups winners by the Bryn Mawr Running/Racing Company and Brooks. There will also be scoring for those who complete all three races. Runners will accumulate points in overall male/female categories along with their age group categories. Awards for the 3 combined races will be provided by one of our sponsors. \nThe event will be again be chip timed using the MYLAPS Run BibTag System by the Bryn Mawr Racing Co.  Brooks Podium Technical Midsummer Series T-shirts will be distributed at the JULY race or during race packet pickup the night before. \nAfter each race there will be an after party at Hykels Bar and Grill. Bring in your race bib for one complimentary beverage on us! \nPlease bring the whole family! A very popular kids race in South Ardmore Park will precede the 5K! \nRace proceeds will benefit Children’s and Shriner’s Hospitals of Philadelphia\, Lower Merion Parks and Recreation and the Bryn Mawr Running Club will also be beneficiaries. Since 2010\, we have raised over $65\,000 for these charities!! \nPlease be aware that summer evening races are at the mercy of pop up thunderstorms. We will run rain or shine\, if lightning\, we’ll hold off until it clears. If it’s an ongoing storm\, we’ll postpone. There are NO REFUNDS. howeve you can purchase race insurnace when registering. \nPacket Pickup:\nPPU will open at 6 pm on site at each race.

SUMMARY:RUN WALK GROUP - JOIN US EVERY MONDAY
DESCRIPTION:To walk\, jog\, or run…all are welcome to join!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin the fun at our weekly group run/walk! On Monday nights\, rain or shine\, as many as 30-40 runners and walkers gather at The Running Place for a group run/walk. Choose from a 2.25-mile\, 3-mile or 5-mile loop that meanders through the neighborhoods behind the shop. All ages and paces are welcome. We depart promptly at 6:45 p.m. so come early! \nSOME ADDED PERKS\n\nOn holidays when the store is closed there is no group run; e.g. Labor Day or Memorial Day.\nJoin us on the 1st Monday of every month for post run pizza and beverages on us.
