Spring 2019 Beginner Running Program

Want to kick your Spring off on the right side of fitness? Well, our Beginner Running Class will be kicking off for eight consecutive Saturdays at 8.am. starting on March 16. The class will be led by 1996 US Olympian Katherine (Fonshell) Taylor. The class will teach the fundamentals of running and guide you through a walk/run program, building toward the completion of a 5k. The class is open to anyone wanting to start a running program and who is fit to walk at least 3 miles. The cost for this program is $80 and includes a Gymboss timer and technical running T-shirt.

PS If you are interested but not sure, then we recommend that you join us for our Weekly Monday night group walk/run and ask some of our past class graduates. This is a great chance for you to see if the course would be right from you. Our Monday night runs begin at 6:45PM sharp. Be sure to pop in a little early, so we have time to introduce you to a past class member.

At The Running Place, our goal is to ensure that you not only receive the right shoes, but also understand the reasons behind the choice. We provide free consultations, where we perform a gait analysis, inspect your worn out shoes for telling wear patterns, and talk with you about any injury history. We will help you determine your foot type and which category best suits your needs.
