SAP & TRF are partnering together to fight pediatric cancer in honor of friend and colleague, Laura Folsom.

Laura Folsom was a 12-year veteran of SAP and a wonderful colleague who built long-lasting relationships with so many people. She was a ‘never-met-a-stranger’ kind of person who thrived in giving of herself and smiled at seeing happiness in others. If you look across the entire SAP organization, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone with a bigger heart, warmer smile, more selfless attitude, and a more giving spirit.

Tireless in her efforts to give back, Laura found a small foundation to partner with for our CSR efforts at FKOM Las Vegas in 2016 – the Tyler Robinson Foundation. Laura embraced Tyler’s family and the foundation, and devoted her time and efforts to bring their cause to the attention of not only SAP, but also our long-standing trusted partners.

In honor of her selfless devotion to others, SAP has set up a special way to honor Laura with donations to the Tyler Robinson Foundation in her memory.
When you go to register for race day (Either at Rose Tree or virtually), there will be an option to add a donation to your order when you go to checkout. If you do not plan on participating in the run/walk but you still wish to make a donation go to the "Donation" tab and it will allow you to donate without registering to participate in the race.

SAP offers a donation matching program called Benevity open to US SAP employees under "TRF Foundation – Salt Lake City, Utah, United States". Please visit the SAP Benevity website for more information :

There will never be another Laura Folsom. She was one of a kind and the best kind.

100% of proceeds will go to benefit the Brookhaven Fire Company. We want to rally the community to support our local fire department. They are hoping to raise money for a new lighting package for one of their trucks, so that they can do their job better at night. All registration fees and extra donations will go directly to the fire company. The race itself and all that it entails is being sponsored by Faith Community Church.

We hope that this will be a really fun opportunity for the whole family to get involved in. We are going to have contests over and above the race to help create some fun. We will have the usual gendered awards for 14 and under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65 and above. If you are a firefighter, we have a special contest for you. The Right Foot Forward Your Experience

At The Running Place, our goal is to ensure that you not only receive the right shoes, but also understand the reasons behind the choice. We provide free consultations, where we perform a gait analysis, inspect your worn out shoes for telling wear patterns, and talk with you about any injury history. All of this information helps us determine what shoe type is best for you.

Every journey begins with the first step. Before you take that first step, make sure you have the right shoes to get you where you are going. There are high arches, flat arches, and all heights in between. Some feet are rigid and some are flexible. There are different categories of shoes - different foot types are more comfortable and perform better in the right category. We will help you determine your foot type and which category best suits your needs.
